I’m Kurt, an accountant who loves to travel the world. My blog, curtisrussel.com, is where I document all my adventures. Like many others, I was born in a society where the idea of success is excelling in academics, getting a stable job, and creating a family. At the back of my mind, I always knew it was not for me.

As A Traveler
I usually travel solo, with friends, or with my nieces. I’m a mid-range traveler with bits and pieces of budget and luxury-style travel. I do splurge a lot on food! 🍜
The Things I Love
I love nature, sunsets, beaches, rollercoasters, temples, and archaeological sites. I am an adventurous eater and I love spicy food. If I’m not basking in the sun or trekking a remote jungle, you can find me in music festivals dancing and singing my heart out. I love cats, turtles, and jellyfish! 🪼

Why I Travel
I enjoy my job and love the people I work with but it’s not permanent. In the long run, I want to explore the world, connect with different people and cultures, take photos, and write about my experiences. So here I am trying to travel the world one place at a time, and doing my best to fit it into my busy schedule, with a goal to understand myself and the universe. 🪷
